[Tobias moves back from the camera so that everyone can be seen in the shot. He's sitting in a park today, back in Goldenrod. Regal the Braviary is sitting next to him, but he's also got a Hawlucha, a Talonflame, some Spritzee, an Empoleon, and a Swablu with him. He clears his throat a little, indicating to the group to settle down.]

Right. So... I was thinking about something that I might be able to help other people with. It's... kind of weird, so hear me out on this one.

I have kind of an... understanding with birds. I can't read their minds or anything, but I know a lot about birds back home, and it's helped me out here. Especially with the bird-like Pokemon that are more like birds of prey... or really territorial, like Nacho here.

[The Hawlucha moves a little closer at the mention of his name, and Tobias scratches one of his wing joints gently.]

So I thought that if anyone is having problem with bird-like Pokemon, I could help out? I'm not going to claim I can fix every problem, but I might be able to help you figure out more of what's going on. At the very least, if you're really having problems it might be better than nothing, right?

Oh. Uh... and my name's Tobias, if we haven't met. Just let me know if you want me to help. ... Thanks.

[He reaches over for the Pokegear and turns it off.]

Then she probably had to fend for herself a lot. A lot of birds get really territorial, so if she didn't have territory of her own then she probably had to fight a lot.

Okay. That makes sense. So now she still thinks she has to fight even when she doesn't have to.

Pretty much. She's not a bad bird, she just wants to make sure she's got a good pecking order in the flock. Right?

[He smiles at Feather, trying to be encouraging.]

<sub>[Feather doesn't like being psychoanalyzed. Especially cause he's kinda right. She clicks her beak again but doesn't seem as outwardly aggressive, just keeps her eyes averted.]

[Molly strokes her over her feathers, trying to be soothing.]</sub>

I know she's not a bad bird.

_{[Feather eases up a little under the positive attention, and Molly shoots Tobias a smile.]}

[He pulls out another dried berry and hands it to Molly.]

You're welcome. I might as well use what I know to help people and Pokemon, right?

_{[Her smile growing with a small nod, she accepts the berry and feeds it to Feather, who tentatively accepts it but then eases up further and eyes Tobias differently. That tasted good. HMM.]}

I bet you get along great with your own pokémon.

[Food makes everything better.]

Most of them. A few are a little tough... but I do what I can to give them their space. They're our partners, but they're still very much wild creatures. As adorable as some of them can be... they're not human, so you can't expect human things from them.

... It's easy for me to say, I guess. I spent so much time being in the heads of other animals that sometimes it was a little hard to remember I was human.

_{[She looks thoughtful, but nods.]}

Is it really weird? To not be able to change?

... Yeah. I didn't have the ability for a while after I got stuck, but being able to morph is really useful... and when I first got here it took me a while to remember how to make expressions.

Oh, cause birds don't have the same ones as we do.

Yeah. Their faces don't change much, but humans are a lot more expressive.
