[There's a... very uncertain-looking young man peering into the camera. He's really not sure what to make of any of this. It's a little hard to believe that he's like this, and he can't morph, and that there are Pokemon.]
[... He's trying to keep it together.]
So... uh.
[Great start, Tobias.]
I guess... I'm stuck here? No one in town really had anything useful to say. None of this makes much sense. And I'm guessing asking how to get home isn't going to get me any real answers, either.
[There's a squawk off-camera, and he looks concerned for a minute.]
I'm guessing the first step is to head to the next town, right? And start building up a team...
[... Why did he make this broadcast anyway?]
... If anyone's got any advice for that kind of thing, feel free to give it.
[He clicks the broadcast off.]
[Action]
[He's not in New Bark Town anymore. He's nearby, but he's sitting in a small area free of tall grass, staring down his Pokemon. What's a Rufflet, anyway? ... At least the body language is familiar. He holds out his hand, waiting for the little Pokemon to approach.]
[... This might take a while.]

If you want to get to the next town, you should go west! Just stay on that route and in a few days you'll make it to Cherrygrove! That's where I am, and it has the most darling little inn... [ Mimi. Mimi there's only one route out of the town. He would have figured it out by himself sooner or later. ]
My name's Mimi, by the way! Mimi Tachikawa. [ A sunny smile. ] What's yours?

Head to the next town, build your team- yep, you got it! I dunno what kinda Pokemon you think you might wanna look for, but the Route between New Bark and Cherrygrove has a lot of cool ones!
[Even as he says this, a Furret pokes her head into view of the camera, dropping her head on Jimmy's shoulder.]

Try to travel in a group if you can. It's harder to protect yourself from wild pokemon at night if you're just starting out.

[Riku smirks. Why yes, there might be some personal bias involved here. Kanto's awesome and deserves more love.
It also means he won't be stuck in the dreaded Violet City.
...yep, totally biased.]
Anyway, team building... You've already got people talking about balance, but I think it's important to look past typing and think about the individual strengths of the Pokémon. Are they fast? Slow? Sturdy? Frail? Personally, I like to get as much variety as possible, but I doubt you'll want to have a team of fifty...
[Yeah, he's... kinda silly in that regard.]

Well, in my two cents, from what I've read, Jolteon is a really wonderful electric type to balance out that Rufflet you have. [Yes, he may have eavesdropped on the other conversations, sssshhh they were public anyway] They're extremely quick! So if getting the drop on your opponent is something you're interested in, they're a good choice.
I actually breed Eevees, which are a pre-evolution for Jolteon... I wouldn't mind giving you one for free when my next batch is bred. When you have enough money after working in maybe Cherrygrove, I wouldn't mind buying a Thunderstone for you here in Goldenrod and sending it to you over the PC.
There are some thing it seems you can only get here in the big city, I'm afraid...
[Garry, helpful Eevee guy. To be fair, they're a good investment Pokemon.]
I'm Garry, by the way.

[Video] a little late I know but TOBIAS
Main advice is be prepared to spend a few nights sleeping outdoors, it's a little bit of a trek to the next town on foot. Hope you like sleepin' under the stars.
[Heather you have NO IDEA.]
[Video] it's okay and HEATHER :D
[Video] <33!
[Video] Heather is great.
[Video] Thank you! My heart sings with nostalgic joy every time I see Animorphs chars around in RP.
[Video] They're fun to play.
[Video] I wish more people played them! I'm kind of a one-trick pony or I'd consider trying one.

...Literally, a boy!! Not that his other friends aren't really great, but it's kind of nice to see someone who looks closer to his own age.
Probably a little older, but closer. Closer is good.]
I've got something that'll help you travel! It's a handbook that my friend Norman worked really hard on while he was here. I can send it to you if you want.
My name's Shaun, by the way. What's yours?
