I felt pretty blind at first. I used to see in the dark as well as I could during the day.

The first week was rough. I had other problems, too. Quite a few of them actually.

I've realized since coming here, the one thing I miss about the way I was before isn't even the skill I was most proud of.

I used to be able to jump twice my height. Kind of like a cat. It made climbing trees a breeze.

My life is simpler here than it was back where I came from.

But I understand what you're saying. To suddenly go from being able to fly to stuck on the ground sounds rough. I don't know what it's like, but I understand feeling like you've lost what makes you "you."

Me too.

You'll find people here, don't worry. It won't exactly be the same, but you won't feel so lonely. You'll always miss those where you're from but the people here aren't so bad.
